Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d)

Your new task – thrilling and future-oriented

As a member of a multi-member, international team, you will be responsible for the independent design creation and construction of new inverters and integrated solutions in the automotive sector. In doing so, you will be responsible for the design of plastic injection molding, aluminum die casting, stamping and bending parts and the integration of electrical components and circuits in the specified installation spaces from the concept phase to series production. The job also includes:

• You will write specifications, review and evaluate requirements
• You will interpret designs using strength and tolerance calculations
• You will coordinate with internal and external interfaces on design, manufacturability, quality and optimization measures
• You will optimize your own and third party designed parts by FEM calculations, tests and the analysis of returns
• In addition, you will be responsible for the detailed documentation of the design tasks

Your qualifications

• You hold a degree in engineering with a specialization in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, production engineering or in a comparable field of study with a focus on automotive engineering/design
• You bring several years of professional experience within the automotive industry with focus on development of control units
• You already have experience with Teamcenter, Polarion and CAD system NX or Catia
• You are characterized by a methodical, goal-oriented way of working, a self-reliant style of working, a confident demeanor as well as independent, quick problem solving and complex tasks
• You are fluent in English, ideally also fluent in German
